Sometimes you may want to make backups of their mail and contacts, or having to transfer these data from one PC to another.
Here, for the most popular mail programs, some sites that explain clearly how to do (in Italian):

- Mail: here, or copy the folder that is located in Home> Library> Mail and then the file Home> Library> Preferences> com.apple.mail.plist
- Mozilla Thunderbird : here and here ,
or copy the folder C: \\ Documents and Settings \\ [username] \\ Application Data \\ Thunderbird
containing messages, contacts, accounts, extensions and themes.

. Or for Thunderbird mail, you can use a product called TbAutosave .
Always there for Mozilla products MozBackup that stores everything you want where you want.
